Assad forces close to capture whole Raqqa eastern countryside

On Fridat night, Assad forces captured al-Maghlat and al-Khmesyie villages west Maadan village on the southern back of Euphrates River in Raqqa eastern countryside following ISIS retreat.

NSO reporter said Assad forces backed by al-Asha’er army and Russian warplanes captured Maghla Kabyire, Maghla Saghyre and al-Khamesyie west Maadan town in Raqqa eastern countryside after dozens of Russian airstrikes targeted the area in addition to Assad forces artillery from its positions in west and south.

According to NSO reporter the bombardment led to displacement of all civilians living in this areas to SDF-held areas on the other side of Euphrates River.

The reporter explained that ISIS withdrew from Raqqa eastern countryside to Deir Ezzor western countryside several days ago, saying the all Raqqa countryside is empty from ISIS fighters where their last withdraw was yesterday from Maadan villages where Assad forces control its southern and western suburbs.

Assad forces advance in the area come after ISIS withdrew without much of a fight while “Syrian Democratic Forces SDF” suspend its battles at al-Akyrshi village.
