The authorities of the Democratic Union Party impose forced recruitment on the people of the areas Raqqa province

Forcibly recruited members of the "Autonomous Protection Forces" during their graduation from a training course in the city of Ain al-Arab "Kobani" in Aleppo northern countryside.

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) issued a generalization on Wednesday in al-Tabaqa city in Raqqa western countryside, which imposed forced recruitment in its areas of control in the province of Raqqa, northeast of Syria.

According to the circular, published in the neighborhoods of al-Tabaqa city and bearing the stamp of the "Autonomous-Defense Committee," every civil was born between 1990 and 1999, to go to the "Civil Defense Duty" Center in the first neighborhood of al-Tabaqa city, the center is dedicated for the recruitment of young men in forced recruitment.

The circular included residents of the cities and towns of al-Tabaqa, al-Garniya and Mansoura and the surrounding villages. The decision also included residents living in these areas before 2012, as well as the residents of the city of al-Raqqa currently residing in these areas.

The "Autonomous Administration" considered this circular to be an official communiqué and obligates all those covered by the above items to review the center of the "Autonomous Defence Duty" starting from 13-12-2017.

NSO reporter quoted a source in the "People Protection Units"-YPG preferred not to be named, that the duration of the "Autonomous Defense" duty is a full year for those arrested for recruiting.While this period is reduced to 9 months if the young person joined the recruitment volentarily.

The source added that the recruits in the "Autonomous Defense Duty" are undergoing a training course for 30 days in the center of "Qara Qossack" north-west of Raqqa and then are sorted to different areas in the Syrian Jazeerah.

The source added that those exempted from the "Autonomous Defense Duty" are those who work within the institutions of Autonomous administration in all sectors as well as the only son, and give students a studying postponement ranging from 3 - 6 to 12 months.

This decision came after the control of the "Syrian Democratic Forces" on the entire province of Raqqa, where compulsory recruitment was imposed in the northern cities and towns, "Tal Abyad - Solouk - Ain Isa" and its countryside, to include all the people of the province of Raqqa.
